Climate adaptation is a complex field that changes quickly. Practitioners have to keep up with a growing body of research, shifting policy, new technology and a wide network of expertise, and much of that knowledge is fragmented across organisations, disciplines and jurisdictions.

CanAdapt brings practitioners, organisations, learning opportunities, resources and networks together in one connected platform.

Many of the hardest problems already have knowledgeable, motivated people working on them. Progress is held back by fragmentation: experts, organisations, funders and practitioners working in separate systems.

EarthNet explored how digital networks and intelligent information systems could reduce those barriers, drawing on systems thinking, network theory, collaborative software and emerging AI.

The Climate Risk Institute builds capacity for climate change adaptation through professional training, knowledge development and practitioner engagement.

Base6’s earlier work with the Institute focused on improving the infrastructure and experience of its professional peer-support networks, using collaborative platform technology and engagement strategies to make taking part easier and more useful.

Youth Climate Corps initiatives create opportunities for young people to contribute directly to climate mitigation, adaptation and community resilience.
